Whether you’re gently raking around budding perennials or clearing fallen leaves from your prized vegetable patch, the Sophie Conran Rake offers the perfect harmony of form and function. This beautifully designed hand rake brings designer elegance into your daily gardening routine, crafted in collaboration with Sophie Conran, a celebrated member of Britain’s esteemed Conran design family. Known for her modern country aesthetic, Sophie Conran brings her timeless sensibility and love for the outdoors to this thoughtfully engineered garden essential.

The Sophie Conran Rake is designed to be small but mighty, offering incredible dexterity and control. Its compact size makes it particularly well-suited for tidying up smaller spaces like borders, raised beds, and containers where a full-size rake might feel cumbersome. It’s the ideal tool for gently removing leaves, light debris, and garden litter from in and around delicate plantings without damaging the surrounding greenery or soil.

The rake’s seven flexible tines are a key feature—each one subtly curled at the ends to glide smoothly over the soil surface and around emerging shoots, protecting young plants from accidental damage. These springy tines are forged from mirror-polished stainless steel, which not only resists rust and corrosion but also maintains a bright, beautiful shine even after years of use. The wide fan design of the rake ensures that you can cover more ground with fewer strokes while still retaining full precision and control.

The handle is crafted from FSC®-certified beechwood, which has been waxed for a smooth, tactile feel. It nestles comfortably into your hand and provides a secure grip—even when damp. Its ergonomic shape reduces strain on the wrist and makes extended periods of use feel almost effortless. A solid brass ferrule securely connects the handle to the rake head, adding strength and a subtle golden accent that elevates the overall design. As a final touch, the handle bears the etched “Sophie Conran for Burgon & Ball” maker’s mark, underscoring the authenticity and craftsmanship behind this premium tool.

This rake isn’t just a practical choice—it’s also a delightful gift. Each Sophie Conran Rake comes beautifully gift-boxed in fully recyclable packaging, making it a perfect present for birthdays, holidays, Mother’s Day, or any special occasion for the garden lover in your life. Its compact size also makes it easy to store or hang from a hook in your potting shed, greenhouse, or garden bench.

This tool has become a favourite among both novice and seasoned gardeners who appreciate quality, comfort, and understated elegance in their gardening kit. Built to last and backed by Burgon & Ball’s renowned quality promise, the Sophie Conran Rake is not only a joy to use—it’s a piece to treasure for years to come.
