Description

Make outdoor clean-up a breeze with the LoofCo Gardener’s Brush—a durable, hand-crafted brush designed for the rigours of real garden life. From scrubbing muddy boots and caked-on lawnmower parts to cleaning pots, spades and shears, this brush does it all—without plastic, without waste.

Handmade in Sri Lanka, the brush features a thick, robust head of natural coconut coir fibres, twisted around a metal core and mounted on a smooth, 15cm rubberwood handle. The natural bristles are stiff enough to tackle dried-on dirt and garden grime, but flexible enough not to damage pots or tools. The brush includes a handy cotton hanging loop so you can dry and store it easily between uses.

At 28cm long in total, with a brush head measuring approximately 13cm (H) x 10cm (W) x 5cm (D), it’s generously sized for two-handed scrubbing but still compact enough to store in your shed or by the back door. Whether you're cleaning down after a weekend in the allotment or tidying up tools at the end of the season, this brush is ready to put in the work.

Like all LoofCo products, the Gardener’s Brush is made with sustainability in mind—plant-based, biodegradable, plastic-free, and recyclable. The coir bristles break down naturally at the end of the brush's life, and the metal core and wooden handle can be recycled or composted depending on local facilities.

To Use:

  • Wet the brush and apply detergent if needed

  • Use it to scrub pots, boots, tools, or surfaces with garden grime

  • After use, rinse well, shake out water, and hang by the loop to dry

  • To refresh, soak occasionally in hot soapy water and air dry

Perfect for gardeners, allotment owners, and anyone after a greener, tougher alternative to synthetic scrubbers.

Why We Love It at AllotMate Essentials

This brush is the definition of hardworking and planet-friendly. We love the chunky rubberwood handle—it’s solid and feels good in your hand—and the coir fibres are excellent for shifting dried mud and stubborn grime. It’s a brilliant all-rounder for post-dig clean-ups, and the fact it’s 100% plastic-free makes it even better. This is a garden shed essential in our book—and one that’ll last.
