RHS Cosmos Sensation Pinkie Seeds by Mr Fothergill’s produce tall elegant plants covered in large soft pink flowers with bright golden yellow centres. This half hardy annual is a classic choice for sunny borders and cutting gardens.

Plants grow to approximately 90 to 120cm in height with a spread of around 45cm. The feathery foliage creates light airy structure while the open daisy style blooms bring long lasting colour from June to October.

Cosmos Sensation Pinkie performs best in full sun and well drained soil. It is easy to grow and thrives even in relatively poor ground, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced gardeners. Regular deadheading will encourage continuous flowering across the season.

This variety holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, recognising its reliable garden performance. It is also recognised as Perfect for Pollinators. The open centred flowers attract bees and beneficial insects throughout summer.

For indoor sowing, sow from February to April in trays of moist compost. Cover lightly with compost and keep at 15 to 20C. Seedlings appear in 7 to 14 days. When large enough to handle, transplant into trays 5cm apart. Gradually acclimatise plants outdoors in late May before planting 45cm apart in flowering position.

For outdoor sowing, sow from April to May in a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover with 0.5cm of fine soil and firm gently. Thin seedlings to 30cm apart once established.

RHS Cosmos Sensation Pinkie is ideal for gardeners who want height, soft romantic colour and reliable long flowering performance through summer and into early autumn.

Mr Fothergill's is a much loved British seed brand with a simple belief at its heart, gardening has the power to enrich everyday life and deepen our connection with nature. What began in 1978 in the converted stable block of Lillie Langtry’s former Newmarket home has grown into one of the most trusted names in seeds and plants, with a reputation built on quality, innovation and genuine care for gardeners.

From its home in Kentford, Newmarket, the company has evolved from a small family business into a modern seed specialist, with purpose built offices, a seed testing laboratory, packing and storage facilities, and extensive trial grounds and growing sites.
